Inspection Checklist
During your Massachusetts state inspection, our certified technicians will review the following components to ensure your vehicle is safe and meets required standards:
Brakes – We check for wear, performance, and any signs of damage or fluid leaks.
Tires – Tread depth, condition, and inflation are inspected to ensure safe contact with the road.
Steering and Suspension – We look for worn or damaged components that could affect vehicle handling or ride quality.
Lights and Signals – All exterior lights, brake lights, turn signals, and hazard lights must be fully operational.
Windshield and Wipers – The windshield is checked for cracks or chips, and wipers must function properly to maintain clear visibility.
Horn – We verify that your horn works and is audible at a proper distance.
Mirrors – Both side and rearview mirrors must be present and intact for safe driving.
Seatbelts – We ensure all seatbelts are present, accessible, and in proper working condition.
Exhaust System – We check for leaks, noise issues, and ensure it meets emissions standards.
Dashboard Warning Lights – Your vehicle must not display active warning lights related to emissions or safety.
License Plates and Registration Sticker – Plates must be clearly visible and securely fastened.
Emissions System (OBD for newer vehicles) – On-board diagnostics (OBD) are scanned for fault codes in vehicles 15 years old and newer.
